Eagle Technologies is currently developing a range of eco friendly plastic cards.

The supply of corn cards (which is a proprietary material owned by one company) do not emboss so well and current lab tests show that they will fail eventually with regards to die-sub and thermal transfer.

Our research suggests it takes more energy to create the corn (also know as PLA) material than the amount of non-renewable resource (in this case PVC) that it saves. So, you burn more oil to make a corn card than the oil you save by not using PVC.

Corn Cards are not bio-degradable - Eco concerns remain!
We also considered the political concerns about the amount of land required to produce enough corn and the negative effect this is reported to have on global farming. Food price increases and shortages in many countries are already presenting dangers as more land is used to produce corn, yet the initiative is still so new. Are we merely delaying a problem, increasing the current concern or creating a whole new one to tackle!

Like many we believe there is not enough land to sustain the global needs of today, let alone tomorrow and with our increasing population in mind we directed our research towards alternative renewable resources and bio-degradable materials.

So far our tests show quality and durability is not compromised so you can expect fantastic results. We anticipate launching our new Plus-Card Bio™ & Plus-Card Eco™ lines by the end of September 2008.
