About Eagle: Our Past, Our Present & Our Future.

Eagle Technologies Ltd is the leading UK distributor of Card ID Printers/Systems, consumables, plastic cards and general badge accessories. We sell only to resellers and add value by providing a variety of services. Our mission is to grow the business of resellers across the UK & Europe by providing the services and tools which make them more efficient, effective and successful. Eagle customers have access to the industry’s leading vendors, one of UK’s largest product inventories, and the broadest range of value-added services available.

Focused divisions covering all areas, including Service & Repairs, Bureau Card Printing and Hardware Rentals, has helped Eagle to achieve impressive growth within the plastic card industry. 2004 witnessed our expansion into Europe, the Middle East & Africa, and in 2005 Eagle Technologies opened a second office in Eastern Europe.

Throughout the world, billions of plastic cards fill pockets, wallets, purses and badge holders. As the complexity of card production and applications has increased, so have the standards, quality and security issues surrounding the plastic card industry, especially when we consider Identification Cards with or without biometric technologies, data storage for Loyalty Cards and smart chips for Payment Card Services.

With over 600+ dealer clients throughout the UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, Eagle continues to grow and maintain its position as a market leader.

Key Personnel

David Phillips, Chairman

David J Phillips graduated in 1974 with a 2.1 Honours degree in Business Studies. He joined the international Burroughs Machines Corporation in 1975 where he remained for 10 years achieving outstanding success in both Sales Management and General Management. Recognising that corporate life was too restrictive for him and having identified a niche market he formed his own company, Universal Document Management, in 1985.

Universal now features in the UK’s Print Industries Top 500 list. Subsequently he has been involved in the formation of two other companies allied to the print industry and in 1999 was instrumental in the creation of Eagle Technologies due to a close association with the plastic card industry.

Chris Rayner, Managing Director

Chris has an extensive track record of success in Sales, Business Development and Sales and Marketing Management and is fuelled by an entrepreneurial drive to build Eagle to be the largest and most respected company in its field in Europe.

Chris began his career in sales with Canon, swiftly moving on to a sales manager position in a start up office products business. In three years, Chris was instrumental in their growth from £300k to £3m.

When the company was successfully sold, Chris joined a selection company and helped to establish their sales recruitment business. Next he joined ICC PLC and introduced a bespoke research department within keynote.

He then joined Eltron Card Printers (Zebra Technologies Inc.) in 1996, where he became head of business development for the UK, Scandinavia and indirectly Eastern Europe, where he established a new distribution structure and helped build the Eltron and Zebra card printer brand names.

Seeing the market growth and an opportunity for a focused distributor in this market, he joined with David Phillips to establish Eagle Technologies Limited in November 1999.

Stuart Parker, EMEA Technical Manager

With a university diploma in Electronics and Electronic Engineering, Stuart began his working life as a repair Technician with Eltron (Zebra Technologies Inc.), rising to the position of EMEA Technical Support Manager. In April 2000, keen to play a key role in building a fast growth business, he joined Eagle Technologies to lead their technical department.

Tina Doo, Finance Department

Tina trained and qualified as a Certified Accountant in Practice and particularly enjoyed assisting varied clients with the preparation/recovery of management information. She further enhanced her career in industry by joining Deloitte and Touche focusing on financial information for management of many prestigious companies including Eagle Technologies. Enjoying the challenge of a fast moving, ambitious company Tina joined Eagle permanently in August 2001 and continues to head up the finance department.
